Everything you need to know before starting at MH Studio

Starting somewhere new comes with questions and that’s completely normal.

Below you’ll find answers to the most common things we’re asked about training at MH Studio, how our coaching works, and what to expect before you begin.

If you don’t see your question here, you’re always welcome to get in touch and we’ll help you decide if this is the right fit.

What is MH Studio?

MH Studio is a private coaching studio in Leicestershire that helps adults build strength, lose fat, and stay consistent through structured, coach-led training. Everything we do is built around coaching, structure, and long-term results.

What is the 28-Day Jump Start?

The 28-Day Jump Start is our entry programme and the best way to begin training at MH Studio. It’s a structured, coach-led programme designed to help you build momentum quickly, understand how we coach, and start seeing progress within your first month.

How is the Jump Start different from a normal gym membership?

Every session is coached by a personal trainer and structured with purpose. Your training is planned, guided, and adjusted as you progress, so you’re never left guessing what to do or how to train.

What happens after the 28 days?

At the end of the jump-start, we’ll review your progress and help you decide which level of coaching and support you want to continue. Please click the link for information on our memberships: https://mhstudio.co.uk/memberships/

How long are the sessions?

All coached sessions are 50 minutes long, giving you enough time to train properly without rushing, while still fitting into a busy schedule.

Will I be training in large group classes?

No. While multiple people may train at the same time, all sessions are coach-led with individual guidance to ensure quality, safety, and progress.

Can I use the gym on my own?

No. All sessions at MH Studio are fully coached by a personal trainer. This ensures every session has structure, intent, and proper guidance, leading to better results and safer training. Coaching also allows us to maintain a clean, organised, and well-looked-after facility at all times. With a wide range of coached sessions available each week, there are plenty of options on the schedule to choose from without needing open gym access.

Do I need to be fit or experienced to join?

Not at all. We coach people at all experience levels — from complete beginners to those who have trained before but want more structure and direction.

Is the training personalised to me?

Yes. Your training is adapted to your experience, goals, strengths, and limitations, and evolves as you progress.

How quickly will I see results?

Most clients notice improvements in strength, confidence, and energy within the first few weeks. Visible changes follow with consistency over time.

Do you offer nutrition support?

Yes. We provide nutrition guidance designed to support your training and help you build sustainable habits.

Do I have to commit long-term?

No. There’s no long-term commitment required to start. Everyone begins with the 28-Day Jump Start, after which you can decide whether and how you’d like to continue.

What’s included in ongoing coaching memberships?

At the end of your 28-Day Jump Start, we’ll help you choose the level of coaching and support that suits you best. Membership options are designed to match how much structure, guidance, and accountability you want moving forward.

Do you have changing and shower facilities?

Yes. We have personal shower and changing rooms, so you can get changed in your own privacy and head straight to work or home without feeling rushed.

Is there parking available?

Yes. We have 15 allocated parking spaces, plus additional visitor spaces, all within a secure barrier-controlled car park. When you join, we’ll provide you with the barrier code so you can park easily every time. This means no stressing about where to park — just arrive, train, and leave smoothly.

Is there an age limit?

Yes. MH Studio is for adults aged 18+ only.

I have an injury or medical condition — can I still train?

In most cases, yes. All clients complete a health questionnaire before starting, and training is adapted to ensure it’s safe and appropriate. If training isn’t suitable, we’ll advise you honestly.

Where are you located?

We’re based in Rothley, Leicestershire, at Unit 3, Victoria Mills, Fowke Street, LE7 7PJ.

What should I bring to sessions?

Comfortable training clothes, suitable footwear, and a water bottle. All equipment is provided.
